American Community Survey

The American Community Survey (ACS) is an ongoing survey that provides data every year -- giving communities the current information they need to plan investments and services. Information from the survey generates data that help determine how more than $400 billion in federal and state funds are distributed each year.

Bureau of Labor Statistics "Economy at a Glance" This link opens in a new window
The Bureau of Labor Statistics of the U.S. Department of Labor provides data on the labor market activity, working conditions, and price changes in the economy. "Economy at a Glance" gives a snapshot of the economy and can be broken down by state.

Center on the Family
The data center provides a number of databases that range from Hawaii statistics on child and family well-being to community-specific data from 40 school complexes, in addition to data trends on Hawaii's aging population.

Federal Reserve Data (FRED) This link opens in a new window
Short for Federal Reserve Economic Data, FRED is an online database consisting of more than 61,000 economic data time series from 47 national, international, public, and private sources. FRED, created and maintained by Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, goes far beyond simply providing data: It combines data with a powerful mix of tools that help the user understand, interact with, display, and disseminate the data. In essence, FRED helps users tell their data stories. The purpose of this article is to guide the potential (or current) FRED user through the various aspects and tools of the database.
