Identifying a Topic

Before you start thinking about topics, it's important that you understand your assignment guidelines. Thoroughly read through any instructions that were given to you and your syllabus, noting any restrictions and/or suggestions. If you have any questions, be sure to ask your instructor.

Brainstorm Topics

Consider your course, and its larger field of study - what about it interests you?

Review your textbook and note any chapters or subjects that you'd like to investigate further.
