Central Theme
Waiʻanae: Where I Live served as the central focus of the event. There are two versions of the book, one in Hawaiian and the other in English. This book was chosen because of its connection to these keiki, who live in Waiʻanae and the fact that it'd likely create a sense of pride in their home and its history. It also promotes Hawaiian language and culture.
