Industry Classification 


North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) codes are six digit codes used to identify businesses. Agencies use these codes to collect and organize business data. Standard Industrial Classification codes are four digit codes used to classify industries according to their primary activity. Though SIC codes are being replaced by NAICS codes, SIC codes are still used by some agencies to classify information and data about companies.
